Presented by ACC's Small Law Department Committee and Meritas

Do you know what "Fair Use" is?  Can you play an audio CD you own your next company meeting?  And if an employee writes technical articles in her spare time, will your company benefit?

Find out the answers to these types questions in a webcast designed especially for the Small Law Department generalist.  Participants will learn which works are copyrightable and which works are not, when copyrights attach to works and the different rights enjoyed by registering versus non-registering a copyright.

Participants will also learn about how to protect their own copyrightable works using best corporate practices and how to avoid violation of others' copyrights associated with:

  • advertising copy,
  • images,
  • formulas,
  • web sites
  • and music.

ACC will not offer CLE credit for this program
