| Duration | 60 Minutes | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Description |
Presented by ACC's Employment & Labor Law Committee and Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP Canadian employment and labour law shows some similarities with U.S. law but there are also significant differences in the law and how employment and labour matters are handled. These differences can cause serious traps for the unwary.
This program will highlight various aspects of Canadian employment and labour law, including some recent developments which U.S. in house counsel should be aware of when dealing with Canadian operations. Some of the topics the panel will cover are: • adapting U.S. employment policies for use in Canada
The panel will discuss a number of key distinguishing features, provide examples of how those distinguishing features increase risk for employers and offer practical solutions.
This will be an interactive program moderated by Diane Lank who has employment law experience on both sides of the border. There will be opportunities for audience participation.
ACC will not offer CLE credit for this program |
