Recent changes in UK Pensions law has given the UK Pensions Regulator  draconian powers to make sure that pension scheme liabilities cannot be dumped.  Companies and group structures that have traditionally used a corporate structure to ringfence their liabilties are now finding that the 'corporate veil' can be lifted.  Have you got a UK subsidiary with a defined benefit pension scheme that may be about to give you a nasty surprise?
